Natoya and Josh had their fairytale of a wedding day on a beautiful January Florida day. It was the perfect temperature and just the right amount of breeze. And when I TELL you that this couple looked like a straight up KING AND QUEEN… This wedding was straight out of Jamaican royalty!
How did this fairytale start you might ask? Well, it was kismet actually. They were living in the same building during their freshman year of college and eventually met in passing. He took her on a date to Moe’s and she was obsessed with their food at the time!
The wedding portion of their fairytale started when Natoya’s Maid of Honor tricked her into meeting Josh on a dock under the guise of hanging out for MOH’s birthday. The dock contained love locks 💖 and that’s where Josh got on one knee. Spoiler alert! She said YES!
Natoya and Josh’s dream wedding aesthetic was “Vibrant, enchanted colors” and boy did she nail it! For the enchanted, from the custom Beauty and the Beast detail on Natoya’s shoes to her elegant crown hairpiece, to Josh’s outfit designed for a king. “Enchanted” was felt by all. Now, vibrant. The bright blue Natoya chose paired with the bright orange and deep red florals screamed vibrant! Natoya’s four bridesmaids dressed in rose red and carried hoop flower arrangements in orange, red, purple and green. Josh’s four groomsmen dressed in beautiful blue suits with a red rose boutonniere.
Let’s talk about the venue: “We knew that we wanted an outdoor venue and when we came across Paradise Cove it was beautiful and exactly what we wanted.” Paradise Cove is a gorgeous outdoor venue, on the water with a covered reception area and sand beach with Adirondack chairs for guests to relax in. There’s a dance floor and even a DJ booth! This special night, Poetic LVL Entertainment rocked the whole party into the evening. A must have for Natoya and Josh was good music and good food: Poetic LVL Entertainment handled the good music and Cocktails Catering handled the delicious food!
At their feature tables, Natoya and Josh had a table honoring their loved ones who had passed away before their wedding. This was another must have for them. We love this touch because it really allows for those important people to be there for those important moments. Now, just so you know, Natoya did all of her own florals. From her bouquet to her bridesmaid’s hoops to even her centerpieces! And they turned out GORGEOUS!! Her centerpieces were both high and low floral displays. (PRO TIP- We love doing a variety of heights for centerpieces because it adds a certain dimension to the room!)
We asked Natoya if there was anything they would do differently if they were to do it all over again. She said, “Wouldn’t change a thing! Except maybe add more time!” - We totally get it Natoya, sometimes, you just don’t want the party to stop!
We had so much fun helping this enchanted fairytale come true! We asked Natoya why they chose Seas Your Day Events: “Seas Your Day had so many wonderful reviews. And once I talked to Chelsea I knew I wanted to work with them. I was super stressed about all of the décor, especially because I did my own flowers. I realized after that I really had nothing to be worried about. Seas Your Day handled everything perfectly.”
Finally, we asked this beautiful couple what their favorite moment of the day was and if they had any recommendations or tips for future couples getting married.
“We cant really pick one moment, the whole day was amazing. It went by so quickly, a true whirlwind of a day! I recommend to ALL brides now that they at least get a Day of Coordinator! It is essential for a stress-free day. :) “
